• The track opened as a 2.52-mile road course and drag strip in 1968.
• The first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race was held in 1989.
• The first nine races were 300 kilometers and switched to a 350k format in 1998.
• The track was reconfigured to 1.949 miles in 1998 with the installation of an 890-foot chute between the original Turns 4 and 7.
• The track was reconfigured to 2.0 miles in 2001 and re-measured at 1.99 miles in 2002.
• There have been 22 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Infineon Raceway since the first race there in 1989.
• Rusty Wallace won the first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pole.
• Ricky Rudd won the first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.
• 13 different drivers have won poles; only four have won more than one.
• Jeff Gordon (five) leads all pole winners. Ricky Rudd has four, including three consecutive (1990-92), Rusty Wallace and Kasey Kahne have two apiece.

#20-Joey Logano won the Coors Light pole for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 Sprint Cup Series race at at Infineon Raceway with a speed of 93.884mph. It is his 1st pole of the season and the 2nd of his career. #1-McMurray starts 2nd followed by #27-Menard, #11-Hamlin, #39-Newman, #4-Kahne, #43-Allmendinger, #9-Ambrose, #33-Bowyer, and #83-Vickers.
The go-or-go homers who made the race (8): #87-Nemechek, #77-Jones, #60-Skinner, #66-Mayhew (in for McDowell), #81-Simo, #71-Lally, #37-Cook, and #46-Pilgrim.

Qualifying Fast Facts - Infineon

Joey Logano won the Coors Light Pole Award for the 23rd Annual Toyota/Save Mart 350 with a lap of 76.821 seconds, 93.256 mph.
This is his second pole in 91 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. His first pole came on 3/21/10 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
This is his first pole and ninth top-10 start in 2011.
This is his first pole in three races at Infineon Raceway. His previous best start, 12th, came in 2009.
Jamie McMurray (second) posted his fourth top-10 start of 2011 and his third in nine races at Infineon Raceway.

#2-Brad Keselowski: The #2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team will race chassis PRS-740 during Sunday's Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway. This is a new chassis to the #2 fleet.
#5-Mark Martin: Crew chief Lance McGrew has chosen Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 5- 674 for Sunday's race at Infineon. This is a new chassis that has not yet been raced or tested.
#6-David Ragan: Primary: RK-773 Brand new chassis; Backup: RK-762 Brand new chassis

#20-Joey Logano: The #20 Home Depot Team is taking chassis #306 to Sonoma this weekend. This is a new road-course chassis for the Joe Gibbs Racing Team. The back-up chassis is #234 that Logano drove at Watkins Glen and Sonoma last season.
#22-Kurt Busch: and his Steve Addington-led Penske Racing "Double Deuce" will be debuting their brand new "PRS-742" Shell-Pennzoil Dodge Charger at Infineon Raceway this weekend. "We had the car up at VIR last week giving it a final shakedown," crew chief Addington said of the June 14 test date on the sprawling 3.27-mile Virginia International Raceway layout located near Danville, Va.
#27-Paul Menard: will pilot Chassis No. 358 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. This No. 27 Chevrolet Impala is a brand new addition to the RCR fleet for the 2011 season and will be put through its first paces at the Sonoma, Calif.-based facility.
#29-Kevin Harvick: will race chassis No. 357 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. This is a brand new race car that will see its first on-track action this weekend at Infineon Raceway.
#31-Jeff Burton will race chassis No. 245 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable.Built new in 2009 as a No. 07 racer, this machine was put through two short track tests and then shelved before being converted to a road course No. 31 racer. It was put through its first competition at Infineon Raceway last June where the South Boston, Va., native finished 27th before rebounding nicely at Watkins Glen International a couple of months later when he piloted the RCR entry to a ninth-place result.
#33-Clint Bowyer: will pilot chassis No. 300 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. This Chevrolet Impala, built in 2010 specifically for road course racing, has seen action twice - the first being a 31st-place finish last season at Infineon Raceway and, most recently, last August at Watkins Glen International when Bowyer brought home a 32nd-place effort.
#36-Dave Blaney: will pilot TBR chassis No. 65. This chassis is a brand new chassis designed specifically for road course racing.
#39-Ryan Newman: This will be the first start for Chassis No. 39-661. The new chassis for the No. 39 Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) team was tested at Virginia International Raceway in Alton on May 24 in preparation for the first road-course race of the season at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif.
#42-Juan Pablo Montoya: The #42 team will bring chassis #1014 to Infineon Raceway this weekend. This same chassis was run at both road courses last season when Montoya finished 10th at Infineon and went to Victory Lane at Watkins Glen International in August.
#43-A.J. Allmendinger: The #43 RPM team has prepared chassis No. 760 for this weekend's event at Infineon Raceway. Though this weekend will mark the first time this particular car has been utilized this season. Allmendinger and the #43 team tested it several times at Virginia International Raceway.
#48-Jimmie Johnson: finished 28th in primary chassis No. 543 at Watkins Glen International in 2010. Backup chassis No. 442 crossed the finish line seventh at Watkins Glen International in 2008.
#88-Dale Earnhardt, Jr.: This weekend, crew chief Steve Letarte and the #88 team will unload Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 88-601. Jeff Gordon most recently raced this chassis to a 10th-place finish at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International in August last year.

Kurt Busch wins at Infineon

#22-Kurt Busch won the Toyota/Save Mart 350 Sprint Cup Series race at Infineon Raceway for his 1st win of 2011 and 23rd win of his career. It is also his 1st road course win and he led 75 laps on the day.
#24-Gordon finished second, followed by #99-Edwards, #33-Bowyer, #9-Ambrose, #20-Logano, #48-Johnson, #56-Truex, Jr., #29-Harvick, and #2-Keselowski. Edwards' second place finish expanded his point lead to 25 over Harvick.
There were 12 lead changes among 9 drivers; 5 cautions for 17 yellow flag laps. The attendance is listed as 93,000, up from 90,000 last June.
